Composite pin-type insulator Silicone rubber
Composite insulators are special insulation controls that can play an important role in overhead transmission lines.
Composite insulators are also called synthetic insulators. The insulator is composed of glass fiber resin core rod (or core tube), organic material sheath and umbrella skirt. It has the characteristics of small size, light weight, high tensile strength and good anti-pollution flashover performance. However, its anti-aging ability is not as good as that of ceramic and glass insulators. Composite insulators include: rod-shaped suspension insulators, insulating cross arms, post insulators and hollow insulators (ie composite sleeves). The composite bushing can replace ceramic bushings for transformers, arresters, circuit breakers, capacitor bushings, cable terminals and other power equipment. Compared with porcelain sleeves, composite insulators have the advantages of high mechanical strength, light weight, and small dimensional tolerances, which can avoid damage caused by explosions.
